The snowshoeing itself is easy to learn and offers the rare chance to get into the less-traveled winter wonderland of the Yosemite backcountry! All snowshoe tours are private.

Yosemite Snowshoe Tour: Giant Sequoia Grove

Meeting Location: Tuolumne Grove parking at 6,200′

Winter is an amazing time to take in Yosemite’s rare groves of Giant Sequoia trees. As the summer/spring crowds clear out, the Tuolumne Grove and Merced Grove become secluded, peaceful hiking trails, accentuated by the towering Sequoia trees reaching out of view. The Giant Sequoias grow up to nearly 300 feet high/26 feet in diameter, making the the largest living things on Earth, and can live to be over 3,000 years old. If there is a considerable amount of snow on the ground, this trip becomes a peaceful snowshoe through the snow blanketed groves.

All day hikes are private and can be customized upon meeting the guide and throughout the day.

Your guide will bring a first aid kit, water treatment supplies, toilet paper/trowel, sunscreen, bug spray, and a passion for adventure.

Should weather, fire, and/or delayed seasonal openings affect the chosen itinerary, a different itinerary will be offered. Lasting Adventures is recognized for its commitment to safety and risk management. In this regard, the summit of peaks will not be attempted when clouds are in close proximity.
Should reservations be necessary to enter Yosemite, your booking confirmation with us will serve as your entry reservation for the days booked with us.
You will need to pay the required entrance fee upon arrival. Additional fees may apply for international visitors. Entrance fees and additional fees are not included in your purchase.

						Best trip..a once in a life time adventure. We were at Yosemite from May 21st to the 28th. We had a guide, DYSON, for 3 days. He was fantastic. I strongly recommend Lasting Adventures and especially, DYSON.
					
					Best experience ever! Loved our Lasting Adventures tours. I can't say enough positive things about our Lasting Adventures experience! I engaged a guide for three days, and we were lucky enough to wind up with Dyson. I would HIGHLY encourage anyone thinking about booking a tour to go with Lasting Adventures and to request Dyson! I had asked for two days of Valley Tours and a Mariposa Grove tour for my group of five. We are all history nerds and love any kind of historical context and flora and fauna information -- it was so interesting to learn from someone who really knew the local plantlife and animal life and the history of the Valley. We all had such a great experience, and Dyson did a great job of managing our different ability levels when it came to the hikes. Truly a 12 out of 10 experience! So grateful that Lasting Adventures helped make an amazing vacation that much more magical.

It was the right decision. We got great service before we arrived and during the hikes. Lasting Adventures helped with understanding where to stay, reservations, equipment, parking and what to expect. Both guides were excellent and is is clear that lasting Adventures has a solid training program.They were knowledgeable about Park history, attractions, flora and fauna and shared lots of fun anecdotes.
