Yosemite National Park Guide Services

An Iconic Playground

Our Top-Rated Yosemite National Park guides can’t wait to help you explore this breathtakingly beautiful wilderness nestled in the Sierra Nevada Mountains of California. Established as a national park in 1890, it covers an area of over 750,000 acres. These lands, home to the Ahwahneechee people for as long as 7,000 years, contain evidence everywhere of its rich and storied history.

One of the most iconic features of Yosemite National Park is its towering granite cliffs, including the famous Half Dome and El Capitan. The park also contains numerous waterfalls, including Yosemite Falls, which is one of the tallest waterfalls in the world.

The park is home to a diverse range of flora and fauna, including black bears, mule deer, coyotes, and a variety of bird species. In addition to the natural beauty of the park, it also contains numerous hiking trails, campgrounds, rock climbing routes, and scenic drives, making it a popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts.

One of the best times to visit Yosemite is during the spring and summer months, when the weather is mild and the park’s famous wildflowers are in bloom. However, the park is also beautiful during the fall and winter, when the changing leaves and snow-covered landscapes create a picturesque winter wonderland.

Half Dome Guided Trips

One of the most iconic natural wonders in the world, Half Dome draws thousands of hikers and backpackers to its summit every year. Reaching the summit at 8.839’ is a physically difficult and incredibly rewarding experience, and a must-do for any serious hiker. Half Dome requires a long uphill hike at altitude followed by a final 400 foot ascent up the side of the dome using steel cables. Since 1997, we’ve guided groups along every step of this exhilarating experience. Our catalog of Yosemite trips includes several backpacking trips that summit Half Dome, as well as our signature Half Dome in a Day Trip. These trips are among our most popular adventures, and for good reason! (All Lasting Adventures trips including required permits.)

Yosemite Classic Camping

For many of our Yosemite National Park guides, some of their first and most powerful experiences in the park were on classic, multi-day camping/hiking trips as kids. The convenience of base camping in a car-friendly site gives you the opportunity to explore something new each day with our knowledgeable guides and return to the comfort of your camp at night. Can’t get your own Yosemite camping reservation? No problem! We have reservations readily available to accommodate you.

Yosemite Hiking / Lodging

One of the most comfortable ways to see Yosemite is by adventuring daily and returning to a resort-style lodge at night for private and cozy accommodations, and for this package we have partnered with Rush Creek Lodge! Rush Creek Lodge provides a relaxed, yet sophisticated experience in a hillside woodland setting at the Highway 120 West entrance to Yosemite National Park. The modern-day active traveler will appreciate daily activities in Yosemite followed by a nightly retreat to this top-notch resort complete with a large pool, hot-tubs, plenty of dining options, and a magnificent children’s center. What’s best? All-you-can-eat s’mores every night!

Yosemite Winter Adventures

Winter is one of the best times of the year to experience the grandeur and solitude of Yosemite National Park. Each year as the summer crowds head out, Yosemite transforms into a secluded winter wonderland of snow covered cliffs and peaks. This time of year also features rare sights only seen later in the year including the undulating, slushy “Frazil Ice” rivers and an enormous “snow cone” that piles up beneath Yosemite Falls. Allow one of our knowledgeable Yosemite guides to show you all the mystery and wonder Yosemite has to offer in the winter! All tours are private.
