Yes, we book all of our Day Hikes as private and do not have an option to join a group. The only exception is our Half Dome in a Day hike in Yosemite, which allows up to 5 guests and 1 guide per trip.
Unfortunately, no, we do not schedule half-day tours. However, as every Day Hike is private, you can modify and customize your day with the guide as needed upon meeting and/or throughout the tour. For example, if you need (or prefer) to end at a specific time, just let the guide know when you meet, and they can make that happen.
Yes, and lucky you, as you will have a private guide for that day.
Yes, see here for our Day Hike Equipment List.
Our Guides will supply trekking poles, the gloves for Half Dome cables, and will also carry first-aid supplies and water purification devices for water along the way. They also carry bathroom supplies (toilet paper, trowel, hand sanitizer), bug repellent, suntan lotion, and they are always armed with fun, natural facts and stories from the park.
No, and we suggest you bring your own trail lunch, snacks, and full water bottles.
Yes, parking is always available at our meeting point, and your vehicle can remain there throughout the day.
Although past clients have said they were glad they rented a vehicle, there are limited public transportation options for most of the trips we offer in Yosemite. See here for additional information: Yosemite Transportation Options.

Best trip..a once in a life time adventure. We were at Yosemite from May 21st to the 28th. We had a guide, DYSON, for 3 days. He was fantastic. I strongly recommend Lasting Adventures and especially, DYSON.
Yosemite valley hike and glacier point, sentinel dome and Taft point hikes We took 2 trips with lasting adventures. We were a party of 9 with 2 families. The first tour we had 2 guides Bella and Trey. They were extremely knowledgeable and gave us an amazing tour. They kept everyone entertained from our 12 year old to young adults and older adults. The pace was just perfect with enough breaks. I would highly recommend this trip to families who are exploring Yosemite for the first time. Second day we took a hike to glacier point and surrounding areas. One of our family member had an asthma attack making us arrive late to our meeting point. Zac was extremely patient and cooperative. He took us to all the highlights with plenty of time for photos and info about the sites. It was an unforgettable experience to view all these sites from top of valley. Would highly recommend this tour to families.
Great experience hiking the panorama trail! We had an excellent experience with Lasting Adventures on our first trip to Yosemite National Park! Michael was our guide, and we met early in the morning at Glacier Point. He was extremely knowledgable and prepared to take our group out on a private day hike of Taft Point and Sentinel Dome. He was on time, easy to find, and he had sunscreen, which he lent to us and extra water and snacks ready to go if we needed it! The hike itself was exceptional. We got to see stunning views of Yosemite and it was much easier to then plan the rest of our trip after asking Michael many questions about what he recommended. He was able to give us a lot of history of the park and identified many different types of trees and wildlife for us as well! He also happened to be a great photographer and took many stunning photos of our group. I HIGHLY recommend using this business next time you go to Yosemite. We were thrilled!
Day Hikes - Sentinel Dome/Taft Point & Cloud's Rest I did two day hikes with Lasting Adventures in October 2019. My guides were Peter (Sentinel Dome and Taft Point, from Glacier Point) and Matt (Cloud's Rest). They were both wonderful--clearly experienced, easygoing, organized, patient and very knowledgeable about Yosemite! The Sentinel Dome/Taft Point hike was beautiful and a great intro to my trip--a shorter distance, but still challenging enough to get the blood flowing. I was especially impressed with Matt during the Cloud's Rest hike. His passion for Yosemite and the outdoors is evident (and contagious!), and I learned a lot from him. Overall, I was expecting beautiful hikes but felt like I got a lot more out of my experience with Lasting Adventures. I would book with them again in a heartbeat.

Nature at its glorious best! We used Lasting Adventures to book the 1 day hike from Glacier Point to Sentinel Dome and Taft point. Our guide 'Critter' was excellent, professional, friendly and very knowledgeable. We stayed at Half Dome village and didn't realise until the day of the hike that it started at Glacier point parking lot which was ~40 miles away so we were 15 mins late in arriving but Critter was waiting for us and there was no issue. He took us to see some of the most amazing views on earth which will stay with us forever, superb and life-affirming experience, great value (especially wit group discount) and opportunity for some of the best photos ever. The hike itself was fairly easy and took about 5 hours going at our own pace and stopping whenever we wanted for as long as we liked. Hot in the sun. Magical

Great guides! We took three all-day tours with Lasting Adventures. Juliet and Matt were knowledgeable about the park and told many interesting stories. The first day we did the valley floor and Juliet took us to a staircase waterfall that was beautiful and an interesting Cave, places we never would have seen on our own. I'm glad we did the private tour because we were not in the best shape (didn't get to do the several hours a day walking at home that they recommend!) so we were able to change the tour when our strength was gone. This company is expensive but they use the money to pay for kids programs.
Glacier point vista, Sentinel Dome to Taft Point loop day hike Gorgeous views of the entire valley, Half Dome, Basket Dome and the Sierra mountain ranges!!! It was slightly strenuous to hike up Sentinel Dome but the view there was well worth it! My friend and I had an amazing time. Tour guide from Lasting Adventures not only was familiar with the trails and terrain, but was also very knowledgeable on the history, myths and ecology of the park. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone!
