This trip meets and ends at Glacier Point (personal auto transport is necessary). After viewing the high country from Glacier Point, we embark on a 6.8 mile trek to both the summit of Sentinel Dome (8,122′) and to the Fissures and Taft Point. This route presents a more strenuous first mile while the remainder of the trip is more easy to moderate. This can be a great intro-hike for the family that includes awesome scenery, experiences, and accomplishments!

High Point: Sentinel Dome at 8,120′
Elevation Gain & Loss: +1,150′

This trip meets and ends at Glacier Point (personal auto transport is necessary).   • All day hikes are private and can be customized upon meeting the guide and throughout the day.

If you have other items you would like to bring, but feel unsure, contact us at staff@lastingadventures.com to help you decide. Your guide will bring a first aid kit, water treatment supplies, toilet paper/trowel, sunscreen, bug spray, and a passion for adventure.

  • Should weather, fire, and/or delayed seasonal openings affect the chosen itinerary, a different itinerary will be offered. Lasting Adventures is recognized for its commitment to safety and risk management. In this regard, the summit of peaks will not be attempted when clouds are in close proximity.
  • Should reservations be necessary to enter Yosemite, your booking confirmation with us will serve as your entry reservation for the days booked with us.
