Giant Sequoia Hike in Yosemite

Meeting Location: Tuolumne Grove parking at 6,200′

If you’ve ever wanted to get up close and personal with the largest trees on earth, this tour will take you there! Hike down into two secluded groves of giant sequoias, passing through old-growth forest along the way. Walk through a tunnel tree, and crawl through a fallen giant (if you dare!). After hiking through the Tuolumne Grove, drive over to the Merced Grove and hike down to see a more secluded grove with impressive stands of Sequoias. At the end of the day, if you’re up for it, head up to the Crane Flat Fire Lookout for a panoramic view of Yosemite. This tour is great for families.

  • All day hikes are private and can be customized upon meeting the guide and throughout the day.

Unfortunately, no, we do not schedule half-day tours. However, as every Day Hike is private, you can modify and customize your day with the guide as needed upon meeting and/or throughout the tour. For example, if you need (or prefer) to end at a specific time, just let the guide know when you meet, and they can make that happen.

Yes, and lucky you, as you will have a private guide for that day.

Yes, see here for our Day Hike Equipment List.
