There’s no better way to bond with your group or work friends than a guided National Park adventure!
Through our customized, guided corporate retreats in some of the West Coats’s best national parks, each group takes on the challenges and thrills of the wilderness together, enriching relationships, building rapport, and bonding as a team!
Our fun, energetic, and knowledgeable guides are trained to use exercises and daily debriefs to draw connections between the wilderness adventure and the adventures a team may face in daily life at work. Our goal is for each participant to finish the adventure with a greater appreciation for themselves, their teammates, and the natural world. We pride ourselves on offering a stress-free environment where group members can escape the daily routine and technologies, and truly enjoy all that the outdoors has to offer! Personal and/or team goals and outcomes will be established through pre-consultation, and each group/corporate retreat is custom-designed to fit your timeline, skill sets, and interests!
Interested in booking a private trip for your group or organization? Please inquire using our Group/Organization Inquiry Form. We review and reply directly to group inquiries within three business days.
Every corporate retreat or group adventure begins with a consultation session with our expert admin team.
Our goal is to thoroughly understand you and/or your group’s needs and goals both personally and professionally, so we can maximize the value of the adventure based on your needs. Whether your group wants an invigorating backcountry adventure (while also full of rest and relaxation), or a more structured program with activities built around your goals and desired outcomes, we can custom-create a guided wilderness adventure for you! Along with being expert backcountry chefs, park historians, and certified medical practitioners, our guides are trained facilitators in Adventure Based Programming, and use adventure and wilderness activities as metaphors for the challenges we face in our personal and professional lives.
Through pre-consultation, we design the perfect adventure for groups interested in ANY of these initiatives
REFRESHING. A fully supported backpacking and/or camping adventure. When you’re not reaching the summits of major peaks, we ensure you get time to rest, relax, and reflect while camping beside high alpine lakes, enjoying waterfalls, fishing, swimming, or just sitting in the sun.
CHALLENGING. Although trips are custom designed, most backpacking trips travel an average of 4-8 miles per day, and sometimes over challenging terrain at high altitudes while carrying a backpack weighing anywhere from 25 to 50 lbs. (Everyone’s pack weight will be proportionate to respective body sizes). Conditions in the backcountry are far removed from your daily routine, which can be very challenging for some. However, this part of the experience is what encompasses the ‘escape and renewal’ aspects of our adventure programs. Optional side-hikes to lesser-known viewpoints and/or summits are included as are cold soap-less baths in high alpine lakes and/or rivers. We love it all and so will you!
TEAM-ORIENTED. Our guides provide unconditional support and emphasize working together as a team all while considering safety and group dynamics. As challenges present themselves, participants can expect to receive support from our expert guide staff, but also from each other. We feel it is very important to give praise and kudos as well as to receive them; so we make time for this type of daily reflection.
SIMPLY FUN. Our daily schedule includes many opportunities for play and many more opportunities for laughter. We even practice laughing without showing our teeth.
OUR COST
Our cost varies depending on your group and program objectives. We do offer multiple-person discounts for groups over 8 participants in size. For youth groups and other non-profits, we will offer special discounted pricing options that are reflected on our Outdoor Education link.
Included: Our trained and experienced guides/facilitators, all insurance and permits, all meals on the trail, all necessary equipment (backpacks, tents, sleeping bags, sleeping pads, eating gear), a souvenir t-shirt, and memories to last a lifetime!
GROUP SCHOLARSHIPS
Everyone has a right to our beautiful public lands and should have the privilege to experience them. We strive to provide these opportunities to those who might otherwise be unable to participate because of cost. If your group or organization is interested in applying for financial assistance, please fill out the “Scholarship Details” section that is embedded in the Group/Organization Inquiry Form.
ORIENTATION AT OUR SITE
Included with every group program is an optional 1-2 hour group webinar presentation and question/answer period. This will be scheduled with your team once under contract. A recommended, but not required add-on, is a group orientation at our site. This half-day orientation will begin with introductions and team building similar to what we use during our trips. Setting some group expectations and goals for the trip will be a goal during this time, and we will do so in a fun way! Lastly, we will also go over maps, and equipment, introduce Leave No Trace principles, as well as review specific information on your chosen park. There is an additional cost for the facilitator’s time and travel.
