A lot more goes into staff training at Lasting Adventures than learning life and wilderness skills, safety protocols, customer service and food prep. Every year at the beginning of the summer guide season, our squad of nearly 50 administrators, guides and interns comes together for a week of taking on challenges, teaching one another new skills, setting goals, getting pumped up and of course, backpacking. In the end, we have more than a team, we have a family—the contagious community that overflows into our guests’ experiences and helps create the culture, expertise, professionalism and fun that makes Lasting Adventures so unique. Here are a few of our favorite moments from one of our favorite weeks of the year.
