Lasting Adventures was privileged to show guests around Olympic and Yosemite National Parks on over 40 Guide Service backpacking trips this summer! Each group was unique, from friends to families to solo travelers, but all shared that common love of nature and adventure. We had guests from around the globe, from as far away as Australia, Germany, and even Kazakhstan! Age proved to be just a number as backpackers ranged from eight years old to eighty!
In Olympic, the most popular trip was our Hoh Rainforest & Blue Glacier 5-day backpack, which takes you from enchanted forests dripping in moss to the foot of Mount Olympus overlooking the Blue Glacier. In Yosemite, although trips with Half Dome are usually the most popular, this year, our Yosemite Icons was one of the most well-traveled. Part of this was due to the significant snowpack covering a lot of Yosemite’s high country well into summer, but a bigger part is the amazing sites you see along the way. Hike past Yosemite Falls with its mist spraying you, then saunter over to the summit of El Capitan as a day hike before heading over to Snow Creek, where views of Half Dome greet you for a spectacular sunset dinner show.
Whether you joined us on one of our guide service backpacking trips or are considering a trip for the future (or both!), these pictures show you just a slice of how nice it can be out there. Hope to see you in 2024!
Pictures alone don’t do it justice…just read these kind words from some of our rockstar guests!
