For those looking to fully embrace all winter has to offer, head up to the high country and snowshoe from the Badger Pass Ski Resort to Dewey Point, an incredible outcropping that offers expansive views of the Yosemite Valley including the towering El Capitan. One of our knowledgeable Yosemite guides will meet you up at the Badger Pass parking area where they will provide snowshoes and hiking poles and will educate you on the proper techniques of snow shoeing and safe backcountry winter travel. Along the way, you will pass through a winter wonderland of snow covered trees, meadows and beautiful Yosemite vistas ending with the awe inspiring Dewey Point outlook.

For those looking for an extra challenge, this hike can be extended to include Crocker and Stanford Point, two more amazing outlooks beyond Dewey Point.

Guides carry first aid kits, water purification methods, toilet paper (for emergencies), suntan lotion and bug repellent. Please plan to bring your own lunch, snacks, water bottles, etc. Remember, all profits from our guided trips go towards supporting our youth summer camp program.

Note: Should weather, fire, and/or delayed seasonal openings affect the chosen itinerary, a different itinerary will be offered. You will be kept in contact throughout this process. That being said, some of Yosemite most unique winter phenomena occur in less than ideal weather conditions! If there is not enough snow on the ground, the trip will still run as a hiking trip.

Cancellation Policy

Day Hike Cancellation Policy:

On day hikes, we will offer no-charge cancellation until 7 days prior to the departure of the hike. Within 7 days of departure, but at least 72 hours prior to departure, a 50% cancellation fee applies. Within 72 hours there are no refunds.
