Exploring the Ozette Coast is an incredible once-in-a-lifetime experience! We start this adventure at the beautiful Ozette Lake. From here you will hike through an old-growth forests, viewing meadows and lush vegetation, all the way to the coast. At the beach you will be able to explore tide pools, see sea-stacks, and relax. This is a fabulous trip for photographers, as you may see sea otters, sea lions, and even whales.
Day 1: This trip begins at the Ozette Ranger Station at 12 pm. This will allows us time to check out and enjoy Ozette Lake. We will take time to get acquainted with our gear and the logistics of the trip before setting off on trail. Our first day begins with a 3.5-4 mile hike through old-growth forest into Cape Alava or the Wedding Rock campsites. We will check out the petroglyphs and relax on the beach as you watch the sunset over the ocean.
Day 2: After a delicious breakfast, pack up camp and hike down the beach towards our next campsite. We’ll check out tide pools and look for sea otters and whales along the way! Once we reach camp, we’ll explore further down the beach, stopping for ample photo opportunities.
Day 3: Today we begin our hike out. We’ll take a different route back to the parking area, through old-growth forest. We will end our loop back at the Ozette Ranger Station.
In the trip cost we include backpacks, sleeping bags, tents, pads, trekking poles, and eating utensils at NO EXTRA COST as needed. Lastly, all profits from our guided trips go towards our non-profit youth summer camp program.
